A Visit Paid to NWU by the President of South Korea’s Gyeongsang National University

A delegation of four from Gyeongsang National University headed by its president, Professor Li Xiangjiong visited NWU on June 20th and met with President Guo Lihong and the heads of Office of International Affairs and Law School of Northwest University on Taibai campus. At the meeting, Guo Lihong and Li Xiangjiong renewed the agreement on interuniversity cooperation on behalf of the two universities. The heads of law schools of two universities signed the intercollegiate cooperation agreement.
Representatives of the two sides introduced the situations of their respective universities and reviewed the history of cooperation. The delegates expressed the hope that interuniversity cooperation could be strengthened in the future, and the subject areas involved in the exchange of teachers and students could be expanded to achieve a larger scale of communication.
Gyeongsang National University was founded in 1947, ranking the top 10 among 39 national universities in South Korea. NWU signed an interuniversity cooperation agreement with Gyeongsang in 1998 and sent groups of teachers to teach at the university.
