Vice Mayor of Busan City Visits NWU

Mr. Baek Un-hyeon, Vice Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City, Republic of Korea, visited Northwest University on November 22. During the visit, Mr. Baek delivered a speech on “the Development of Busan Metropolitan City: Past, Present and Road Ahead” in the Jinhai Lecture Hall of School of Public Administration on Chang’an Campus. President Fang Guanghua met the delegation and hosted the lecture. Heads of the School of Public Administration, Research Center of International Public Affairs and Office of International Affairs attended the meeting. In the lecture he gave to NWU students after the meeting, Mr. Baek elaborated the development and achievements of Busan in terms of demographic changes, urban planning and administrative region changes, administrative reform, as well as transition of urban development model etc. Furthermore, Mr. Baek analyzed the main factors that restrict the development of Busan, and presented a vivid picture of the Busan’s future by introducing the 10 major development projects. At the end of the lecture, Mr. Baek interacted with audiences and answered their questions.
