The 4th Session of the 10th Workers Congress is held at Northwest University

On Jan 6th, the 10th workers congress is held in Taibai campus of Northwest University, which focus on studying and implementing the spirit of the 5th Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and scientifically planning the development of the 13th five-year-plan of our school. Guo Lihong,the president of Northwest University gives a speech at the meeting and issued the work report. Vice president Gao Ling also delivers a speech about the details of the 13th five-year-plan of NWU. Vice president Zhang Yunxiang reports the progress of the integrated transformation, and vice president ZhuoYu reviews the logistic service and the infrastructure construction. Approximately 300 representatives participate in the meeting. The work report of the president includes two parts. The president firstly reviewed the work of 2015. In the year, the University accomplishes the targets proposed by the central and provincial educational administration, about the reforms of higher education.  We have improved the discipline construction and scientific research along with the educational reform. Important progress has been made on faculty development and students education. We enhance the international exchange and cooperation which broadens our vision. The president also analyzes the disadvantages existing during the developing process. In the second part of the report, the main tasks of 2016 are mentioned. The year of 2016 will be an important beginning of the 13th five-year-plan. The main themes for the development of 2016 will be innovation, cooperation, opening and sharing, question-oriented and purpose-guiding, hoping to meet the requirements of first-class universities.   The participants discuss the 13th five-year-plan development project of the university and the work report on January 7th.
