Deputy Minister of Education conducts research at Northwest University
On the afternoon of July 17th,a group led by Liu Limin, Deputy Minister of Education, conducted research on the implementation of Outline of National Medium and Long-term Educational Reform and Development Planning, accompanied by Li Xingwang , Director of Educational Department and Yuan Ning, Secretary General of Academic Degrees Committee of Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government.
The group visited the Museum of Northwest University with President Guo Lihong and Deputy Party Secretary Sun Guohua. Then they heard opinions on a report about the development of Northwest University and implementation of Outline of Educational Planning. In the museum, Liu Limin spoke highly of the abundant and sustaining inheritance of school history and the university’s contribution to the development of western China and student education. He affirmed the profound regional culture and humanistic feature the museums displayed, and look forward to witness a better museum with NWU characteristics in teaching, research and science.
Liu Limin highly approved our developing and schooling methods, which are to focus on the moral education, retain the scale, deepen the reform, optimize the system, emphasize innovation, and improve quality, so as to advance quality education. He pointed out that the spirit of Outline of Educational Planning needs to be followed, and we shall promote education to fit the needs of our civil citizens with strong emphasis in talent education. He expected us to learn from the past experience, improve the quality of education, and attach importance to managerial innovation.
