On April 10, the publication and donation ceremony was staged for the new book 50 Questions and Answers about the Prevention and Control of COVID-19. Published by NWU Press in English, German, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Italian, and Arabic the launch was held on the Taibai campus of NWU.
The Chinese online version of 50 Questions and Answers about the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 was compiled by the Shaanxi Provincial Health Committee and the Shaanxi Provincial Centre for Disease Control and Prevention and published online by NWU Press, free of charge, on February 24.
50 Questions and Answers about the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 was rendered into seven different languages by a NWU-based translation team, led by Professor Hu Zongfeng, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages and published by NWU Press.
Based on scientific measures for prevention and control, the book is composed of four sections, namely, an Information Section, a Preventive and Protective Measures Section, a Common Doubts Allayed Section, and a Work Resumption Section. Organized in the format of Qs and As, the book introduces, with illustrations, to the international community preventive and protective knowledge, following a scientific and systematic method.
Adam Foster, President of the Helen Snow Foundation in the United States, thanked NWU, via a mini video, for its translation and donation of the book. “Thank you for your love and sharing with us this guidance book to the prevention and control of COVID-19,” Mr. Foster said.
