The State Council recently releases the list of 80 national monuments and sites to commemorate the war of resistance against Japanese Aggression, in which the site of the National Northwest Associated University in Chenggu County, Hanzhong city, Shaanxi Province is newly included. This is its second acceptance of national list of historic sites since it was selected into the eighth batch of national key cultural relics protection units last year.
As an affiliated unit of league secretariat of the National Northwest Associated University, NWU actively promotes and supports related colleges and universities to organize the Northwest Associated University & China Higher Education Development Forum. It has successfully held eight sessions so far. The ninth session will be hosted by China University of Mining and Technology in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province in November 2020, the tenth by Northeast University and the eleventh by Hebei Normal University. Related work by NWU theoretically supports the former site to be included in the above national list, and it is also one of the important achievements of the continuous research work of the National Northwest Associated University.
