Recently, 2021 autumn Online Training Program for International Chinese Teachers of NWU has been approved by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as "Center"), which is the second time that such program has been approved. It will support the online study of 348 international students.
Online Training Program for International Chinese Teachers is an online teaching program launched by the "Center" in accordance with the current international Chinese education and the needs of overseas Chinese learners. It is an innovative measure of "Internet + International Chinese Education". Through short-term intensive training, the Program aims to help teenagers and those who aspired to be local Chinese language teachers from countries along the Belt and Road to improve their comprehensive Chinese language skills, deepen their understanding and recognition of Chinese culture, and reserve talents for the international communication of Chinese language and culture.
NWU School of International Education has completed the enrollment of 84 students from 10 countries including Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Pakistan, Russia and Nigeria through various channels after the "Center" issued the notification of the application of programs around October 2020. At present, the first semester of training has been finished and received high praise from all parties.
