Recently, a team of researchers from Northwest University’s Institute of Western China Economic Development released Report on China’s Economic Growth Quality 2021. Their annual landmark accomplishment was published by Economic Press China. Led by Professor Ren Baoping, dean of this institute, the team is comprised by members including Professor Shi Bo, Professor Chao Xiaojing, Associate Professor Guo Han, Associate Professor Wei Jie, Associate Professor Tian Hongzhi. Consisting of 21 chapters, the 373,000-word book is the 13th one in the series of Report on China’s Economic Growth Quality. The book theoretically explores China’s high-quality economic growth in the new era, showcasing NWU has made a new achievement in the field.
Report on China’s Economic Growth Quality 2021, with its focus on China’s high-quality economic growth in the new era, systematically studies the high-quality development issues from three perspectives: micro, intermediate and macro, and analyzes how consumers, enterprises, new industries, new business models and new economic development are impacted by China’s new economy.
Professor Ren Baoping and his team has been studying economic growth and the quality of economic growth ever since 1999. From 2009 to now, the team has been dedicating to this field, and published 13 annual reports on China’s Economic Growth Quality and over 100 papers. As a landmark research of NWU’s Institute of Western China Economic Development, today the study of economic growth and the quality of economic growth is of broad academic impact in China.
