On Nov. 6th, the 2023 NWU Student Role Model Award Ceremony and Freshmen Welcome Party was held on Chang’an Campus. The university leaders, relevant officials from respective schools and departments, representatives of faculty and staff, representatives of award-winning students and all freshmen students of 2023 attended the ceremony. The welcome party was also synchronized with live broadcast through new media platforms of Northwest University, with more than 32,000 online viewers.
Participating university leaders, representatives of postgraduate supervisors, Huang Dainian Team, excellent students counselors and excellent logistic service personnel awarded medals or honorary certificates to the students who won the Excellent Academic Style Dormitory, Outstanding Academic Collective Class and Outstanding Students, Outstanding Student Cadres, and Recommended Candidates for National Scholarships for the academic year of 2022-2023, respectively.
During the welcome party, programs such as the female solo “Forever Young”, the sports show “Youth Party”, the dance performance “NWU Waiting for You”, the song and dance performance “This is Me”, the song “Singing to 2023” demonstrated the endless youthful vigor of the teachers and students of NWU, as well as a bright idea of the future; international students from Turkmenistan performed their own dance, and brought the audience to experience the different styles of Central Asian countries; the traditional costume catwalk with classic music “National Melodies in Great Dynasties”, and “Listen to the Zither", demonstrated the cultural self-confidence of the magnificent China ......
Accompanied by the familiar “Northwest University March”, the 2023 Freshmen Welcome Party came to a successful conclusion.
