From May 13 to 16, Jiang Lin, Secretary of the Party Committee of NWU, led a delegation to Kyrgyzstan, visited six universities and think tanks, including Osh State University and Kyrgyz Research Institute of Geopolitics and Strategy, and visited Shaanxi Coal and Chemincal Industry Group Kyrgyzstan Zhongda Petroleum Company, deepening and expanding the NWU’s high-quality international cooperation projects in Kyrgyzstan in the areas of scientific research cooperation, talent training, think tank cooperation, university-enterprise cooperation, and so on. The directors of the Office of International Collaboration and the Institute of Silk Road Studies accompanied the delegation.
On the occasion of the first anniversary of the China-Central Asia Summit, the delegation of the university visited Kyrgyzstan, which is of great significance to promote the deep integration of the university into the “One Belt, One Road” Initiative. The university will take this visit as an opportunity to improve the research level of regional country studies, carry out research related to Silk Road Economic Belt and international communication of “Belt and Road” relying on special disciplines, jointly cultivate innovative and internationalized talents, and assist the university’s “double first-class” construction with high-quality international exchange and cooperation projects.
