On the morning of May 29th, Robert Reddy, Vice President of St. Louis University, and his delegation visited Northwest University. Vice President Cao Rong met with the delegation, and the two parties had a discussion on deepening cooperation between the two universities. Relevant persons from the School of Economics and Management, School of Life Sciences, School of Medicine and other related units attended the meeting. The director of Office of International Cooperation presided over the meeting.
Cao Rong welcomed Robert Reddy and his colleagues and briefly introduced the exchanges and cooperation between NWU and American universities and scientific research institutions, hoping that on the basis of the previous cooperation, the two universities will make breakthroughs in Chinese-foreign cooperation in school running, talent cultivation, scientific research and innovation, and other aspects of cooperation.
Robert Reddy responded positively to our cooperation proposal, pointing out that St. Louis University has distinctive characteristics in the fields of health care and law, and Northwest University also has certain advantages in these two fields, he is looking forward to in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the two universities in the future in the life sciences, law and other disciplines.
In the exchange session, the participants introduced their respective teaching and research fields, and had an in-depth discussion and reached a consensus on our students’ visit and exchange program to St. Louis University, the short-term program for St. Louis University students coming to NWU, teachers’ mutual visits and scientific research exchange programs, and so on.
During the meeting, the two parties signed a cooperation agreement.
