Delegation led by Director Dai Gang of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology visited the China-Central Asia “Belt and Road” Joint Laboratory

In the afternoon of November 12, Dai Gang, Director of International Cooperation Department (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Office) of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Sun Jian, Deputy Director, Xiao Wei, Director of Asia and Africa Division, and his delegation came to Northwest University to know the developing progress of international scientific and technological cooperation platforms, hold a discussion, and conduct a field inspection of the construction of the China-Central Asia “Belt and Road” Joint Laboratory. Mr. Bai Chongjun, deputy director of Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Department, and Mr. Liu Lei, deputy director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, accompanied the delegation. Sun Qingwei, president of NWU, directors of relevant units of NWU and representatives of teachers participated in the activities.


The participants exchanged ideas on how to build a high-quality Belt and Road Joint Laboratory. Dai Gang said that the Belt and Road Joint Laboratory has achieved remarkable progress, fully utilizing its role as a highland for international scientific and technological cooperation. He encouraged the lab to empower archaeological research with science and technology and promote international cooperation programs.
