On November 26, the 8th Conference on Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools in Shaanxi Province and the 2024 Working Meeting of Chinese-Foreign Cooperative Education Association of Shaanxi Higher Education Society were held in Xi’an Jiaotong University. Cao Rong, vice president of Northwest University, attended the opening ceremony.
The meeting honored the outstanding institutions (programs) and administrative staff of the year 2024. The undergraduate education program of Electronic Information Science and Technology jointly organized by the University of Essex of UK and NWU was awarded the Outstanding Program of Chinese-Foreign Cooperative Education in Shaanxi Province in 2024, and Cao Rong received the award on behalf of NWU. Li Kang, vice dean of School of Information Science and Technology, Liu Yuan, deputy director of NWU-Salento Facolta di Beni Culturali e Arte, and Hong Dandan, staff of NWU-Salento Facolta di Beni Culturali e Arte, were honored as “Outstanding Administrative Staff of Chinese-Foreign Cooperative Education in Shaanxi Province in 2024”.
At the meeting, the Chinese-Foreign Cooperative Education Association of Shaanxi Higher Education Society held a general election, and the person in charge of the Office of International Cooperation of Northwest University was elected as the deputy secretary-general of the second council and made an experience sharing entitled “Party building leads Chinese-foreign synergies, integration and innovation to promote the high-quality construction of Chinese-foreign cooperative schools” in the conference.
