On the afternoon of December 4, a six-member delegation led by Mr. Albert Kharisovich, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, Timirkhan Alishev, Vice-Rector for External Relations of Kazan Federal University, Prokhorenko Inga, Rector of Samara Medical University, and Gromov Mikhail, Rector of the Medical University of Salentov, visited Northwest University. President Sun Qingwei met with the delegation. Heads of Office of International Collaboration (School of International Education), Medical School and exchange students of Yerabuga College of Kazan Federal University attended the meeting.
Albert introduced the basic situation of the Republic of Tatarstan, said that he would actively promote the in-depth cooperation between the universities in the republic of Tatarstan and our university, and proposed the idea of jointly establishing the China-Russia University of New Technologies, hoping to establish a platform of dual-degree co-cultivating between the two countries and promote the in-depth cooperation between China and Russia in the areas of academic exchanges, talent cultivation and scientific research cooperation. Mr. Alishev and Ms. Inga introduced the basic situation and cooperation intention of Kazan Federal University and Samara Medical University respectively.
At the meeting, the delegation also exchanged views with 8 students of Yerabuga College of Kazan Federal University who are studying as exchange students at NWU, and acquired a deeper understanding of their study and life situation. Before the meeting, the delegation also visited the NWU museum.
