On the morning of June 21, 2025, Northwest University held its 2025 Commencement Ceremony at the gymnasium of the Chang’an Campus. All current university leaders, faculty, and student representatives gathered to witness and send off over 7,000 graduates as they embarked on new journeys in life.
International graduate representative AI Xiaoqing delivered a heartfelt speech, reflecting on her academic journey and expressing deep gratitude and farewell to her alma mater NWU and mentors.
President SUN Qingwei addressed the graduates with the theme “Embarking Amidst Change, Toward a Splendid Life,” offering earnest advice and sincere blessings. He urged students to pursue their aspirations and forge their own paths in the coming chapters of life. Taking inspiration from NWU luminaries such as Mr. HOU Wailu and Academician ZHANG Yanzhong, he encouraged them to live every “present moment” as a “substantive day” of life, to converge their individual sparks into the galaxy of the grand era, and to thrive instinctually toward the light.
Party Secretary JIANG Lin conveyed his wishes to the graduates: “Carrying NWU’s motto of ‘Fairness, Integrity, Diligence and Simplicity,’ you will now journey across the world. May you always remember that true growth lies in integrating the ‘tiny self’ into the ‘greater whole,’ to pursue ideals with actions and interpret a youth of no regrets with endeavors.”
