The virtual "Chinese Bridge" winter camp is an innovative program developed by the Center to help overseas youths to learn Chinese language and culture during the special period of global epidemic of COVID-19. This is the second year that NWU has hosted this program. During the two-week camp, campers from different countries and regions will participate in live broadcast of Chinese courses and recorded cultural courses via video-conferencing platforms so as to improve their overall Chinese language skills and deepen their understanding of Chinese culture and modern society.

Since the global epidemic of COVID-19 in 2020, NWU has been actively developing online courses for international students and has created 33 online Chinese cultural courses. An overall system that adapts to all levels of Chinese learners at high, middle and low levels is fully established. In addition, NWU has made full use of the regional advantage of rich historical and cultural resources in Shaanxi Province and formed a cultural course team to interpret and shoot at famous cultural sites, urban commercial and cultural centers in and around Xi'an City, such as the Terracotta Warriors, the City Wall, the Qianling Mausoleum, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, Great Tang All Day Mall, etc., as a result of a series of elaborate cultural video courses.
