Nine Disciplines of NWU Rank in the Global Top 1% on ESI

Recently, Clarivate Analytics released its latest rankings of Essential Science Indicators (ESI) of January 2022. Environment/Ecology discipline is, for the first time, one of the nine disciplines of Northwest University (NWU) shortlisted in ESI’s global top 1% disciplines. The other NWU disciplines are Geoscience, Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Agricultural Science, as well as Plant and Animal Science, making NWU No. 51 among its counterparts in China’s mainland. This increase marks NWU’s new breakthrough since the beginning of its Fourteenth Five-Year Plan (2021-2025).
