On the evening of June 1st, the "Love for NWU·Dragon Boats Day" campus folk culture exchange activity was held in the Magnolia Garden (Yu Lan Yuan), Chang'an Campus. More than 60 student representatives from different schools and departments attended the event.
The students learned how to make zongzi (rice dumplings) and the campus cafeteria staff prepared red dates, glutinous rice, sultanas, reed leaves and other materials in advance to guide the students to make zongzi. It was the first time for most of the students to make this traditional food. With the different shapes, everyone gradually got the hang of making zongzi and the atmosphere of the Dragon Boat Festival gradually intensified.
In the subsequent quiz session, students actively participated in answering the questions in exchange for the Dragon Boat Festival gift, such as colourful hand ropes and small incense pouches, which signified good wishes for good fortune and good luck.
