From 27th July to 2nd August, the 17th Shaanxi Provincial Football Games (College Women’s Division) were held in Yulin, Shaanxi Province. 11 members of our Jianglin high-level women’s football team represented NWU to participate in the competition, and achieved the third place. This was also the first time that the Jianglin High Level Women’s Football Team participated in an official competition since its establishment in 2020. The 11 athletes from NWU overcame all the difficulties and struggled through five matches without grouping and number of participating advantages. The tournament reflected the fighting spirit of NWU and was well received by the participating teams.
From August 4th to August 10th, the 17th Shaanxi Province Basketball Games (College Women’s Division Group A) were held in Shenmu, Shaanxi Province. The Northwest University women’s basketball team finally won the championship in the women’s Group A category for university students. The new NWU women’s basketball team (non-professional) was established in 2014 and has maintained its position in the top eight in Shaanxi Province since its founding, having won one championship, two runner-ups and one third place. This trip was also the first time for our women’s basketball team to participate in the provincial games, and they dedicated themselves to the 120th anniversary of NWU with excellent results.
