NWU holds the opening and signing ceremony for the Chinese Culture Virtual Training Seminar with Kuching, Malaysia

On the evening of August 20th, the opening ceremony and signing ceremony was held for the virtual training seminar on Chinese culture with Kuching, Malaysia. This  seminar is jointly organized by the Hantang Institute International and the School of Chinese Culture Leadership of Northwest University and the Kuching Chinese High School Alumni Association of Malaysia. Consul General Xing Weiping of the Chinese Consulate General in Kuching, President of the Chinese High School Alumni Association of Kuching, Malaysia, guest lecturer of NWU, Datuk Huang Guohui and Lai Shaocong, Member of NWU Council and Vice President of Northwest University, attended the online opening ceremony and signing ceremony, and nearly 400 participants attended the training seminar.

At the ceremony, the leaders of the three parties, including the Hantang Institute International, the School of Chinese Culture Leadership of Northwest University and the Kuching Chinese High School Alumni Association of Malaysia, signed a collaborative agreement on this Chinese culture online training program.

Huang Guohui commented on the importance of this training program from the perspective of the heritage and development of Chinese culture in Malaysia. He said that this program invited experts and scholars to deliver lectures on two main lines of Chinese traditional culture and contemporary Chinese national conditions, so that the participants could further understand the profound Chinese traditional culture and interpret the new trends and concepts of contemporary Chinese development with a broader perspective.

This seminar consists of four lectures, covering different aspects of history and culture as well as contemporary Chinese economic development and national governance. The seminar is a meaningful attempt and exploration to disseminate Chinese culture and promote exchange and mutual understanding through virtual platform by integrating the universitys superior disciplinary resources under the normalization period of epidemic prevention and control.
