Northwest University Puts on 120th Anniversary Artwork Exhibition

On the morning of November 7th, the opening ceremony of the 120th anniversary artwork exhibition was held in the library of Chang’an campus to pay tribute to the 120-year glorious history of NWU with artworks. President Guo Lihong announced the opening of the exhibition; Chang Jiang, Vice President of NWU and the general director of the 120th anniversary celebration, hosted the ceremony; and Zhu Jinhui, president of Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts, delivered a speech for the exhibition. Zhang Qing, Deputy Chairman of NWU Council, Wu Zhenlei, Vice President ofNWU, and Tian Mingzang, Director of Department of Publicity, attended the event. Representatives of relevant offices and departments, students and faculty of NWU attended the ceremony.

The exhibition features more than 70 works by more than 30 artists from sister institutions and organizations inside and outside the province, such as the China National Academy of Painting, Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts, Renmin University of China, Guangdong Art Museum, and many teachers from the School of Fine Arts of the University, covering various categories such as Chinese painting, calligraphy, photography, and art design. The exhibition will be held from now until the 18th at the fifth floor of the library of Chang’an Campus.
