NWU holds a celebration party with international teachers and students to welcome the Year of the Rabbit

In the afternoon of January 19, 2023, Northwest University held a celebration party with international teachers and students to welcome the Year of the Rabbit. President Guo Lihong and Deputy Chairman of the University Council Lv Jianrong led the directors and deans of the departments and offices related to international student cultivation, including the publicity department, the office of students affairs, the office of international programs and the School of Liberal Arts, to visit foreign students and faculty at the Taibai campus and participate in the celebration event.


The Director of the office of International Programs/School of International Education introduced the overall situation of foreign teachers and international students of NWU in 2022. On behalf of the foreign teachers and international students, Ivan from New Zealand, Altantuya Naranbaatar from Mongolia, Muhammeddova Ogulbagt from Turkmenistan and Mehad Mousa Mohamed Ali Bayoumi from Egypt spoke on behalf of the foreign teachers and international students respectively, thanking the university for their support in work and study and care in life, and mentioning that although they were far away from home, they still felt the warmth of home and would work and study harder in the new year to contribute to the university.


During the activity, the university leaders and foreign students and teachers exchanged Chinese New Year wishes, and the international students also presented teachers with their hometown foods such as Vietnamese spring rolls, Ethiopian coffee, etc. accompanied by songs and dances of different countries, and exchanged ideas about the Chinese New Year culture in their own countries. The celebration made the teachers and students, who participated in both virtually and on-site deeply feel the reunion, festivity and peace of Chinese Spring Festival.
