NWU Holds the 30th Anniversary Celebration for the School of International Education and the 4th International Cultural Festival

On March 15th, the 30th anniversary celebration of the School of International Education and the 4th International Cultural Festival were held in Tai Bai Campus. Yue Yu, director of the Institute of Religious and Arts of NWU, Professor Wang Weikun and Ms. Zhang Hongchun, director of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, presented inscriptions and ink treasures to the School of International Education. Professor Wang Jianxin, representative of model workers in international student education, and Anita, representative of outstanding international student graduates, delivered speeches.

The celebration kicked off the 4th International Cultural Festival of Northwest University, which consisted of country-specific exhibitions and cultural performances. International students from 22 different countries presented their culture and customs by showing the scenery, costumes, artworks, food and music to the guests. On the stage, the international students performed sitcoms, dances, song sketches and Chinese costumes, and the Xian Ecclesiastical Society also performed a wonderful Shaanxi Opera.

Friends from domestic and abroad, including China Higher Education Association Foreign Student Education Management Branch, International College of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Office of International Exchange and Cooperation of Beijing University of Technology, School of International Education of Tianjin University, School of International Education of Jilin University, School of Overseas Education of Jiangsu University, International Education Center of East China Normal University, School of International Student Education of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, School of International Education of Lanzhou Jiaotong University and other institutions, as well as French sinologist Joël Bellassen and Czech sinologist Ugin, sent their congratulations by video.
