NWU Holds the Second Training Session for Associate Deans of Foreign Related Affairs

On the afternoon of April 10th, Northwest University held the second training and exchange session for associate deans of foreign related affairs at Changan Campus. Professor Ray Taheri from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada was invited to deliver a presentation on Global Changes in Higher Education and Innovation in Teaching and Learning.

During the traning and exchange session, Prof. Ray Taheri firstly introduced the overview of the University of British Columbia and its School of Engineering, and discussed the possibility of cooperation between NWU and the School of Engineering of the University of British Columbia in terms of faculty exchange visits, student mobility programs, collaborative research and summer camps. He systematically introduced the changing paradigm of global higher education teaching and learning, and introduced the PBL teaching method through a lot of informative video materials. During the interactive session, Prof. Taheri and the participants discussed in depth the relationship between strengthening the foundation and developing competence, and the application of new teaching concepts in specific teaching practices.
