On the morning of May 12th, a delegation led by the President Gulchehra Rikhsieva of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies visited Northwest University. President Guo Lihong attended the meeting and delivered a welcome address to the deletation. The Vice President of International Affairs and the Director of the Center for Chinese Studies of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, the officials from relevant departments and offices of Northwest University and NWU Uzbek representative students attended the meeting. During the meeting, the two universities signed a Memorandom of Understanding.
During the meeting, both universities introduced the relevant situation of their respective schools. Guo Lihong welcomed the visit of President Rikhsieva and her delegation and looked forward to substantial exchanges and cooperation between the two universities in the field of personnel training, scientific research and platform construction, and invited Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies to jointly build a research center in Uzbekistan with Northwest University.
The relevant leaders from the Institute of Silk Road Studies, the Collaborative Research Center for Archaeology of the Silk Roads and School of International Education respectively introduced the development and achievements of their organizations, and discussed with the visiting guests about the future development of scientific research cooperation and joint training.
