Recently, President O.L. Kuznetsov and Executive Vice-President A.V. Bolayev of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences sent a congratulatory letter to Professor Jintao Bai of Northwest University, congratulating him on his election as a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and affirming his contributions to laser technology and devices and new energy optoelectronic materials, hoping that he will carry out creative and fruitful scientific and technological cooperation for the sustainable development of Russia and China.
It is reported that the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences was founded in 1990, initiated by a number of well-known Russian scholars and scientific institutions, is one of the three major inter-industrial scientific institutions in Russia, but also the largest social science academy in Russia recognized by the United Nations, there are eighteen Nobel laureates, more than two hundred and seventy members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, more than thirty members of the Russian National Academy of Medical Sciences and more than twenty other more than twenty members of other scientific academies. Professor Jintao Bai was elected as a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences through the process of academician recommendation, formal examination, material review, academic department election and presidential committee consideration.
