The 2023 Committee Meeting of Confucius Classroom at Rayongwittayakom School of Thailand was held at NWU

On the morning of May 25th, NWU held the 2023 Comittee Meeting of Confucius Classroom at Rayongwittayakom School of Thailand at Taibai Campus. Vice President Chang Jiang, Principal of Rayongwittayakom School in Thailand Tao Zhiwei (Pornsak Thipwongthong), Chinese and foreign directors of Confucius Classroom and the heads of relevant units of NWU attended the meeting.

The meeting approved the annual summary of Confucius Classroom in 2022, the work plan for 2023 and the annual budget, which clarified the direction of the specialization of Confucius Classroom and laid the foundation for further promoting the sustainable development of Confucius Classroom and better playing its role as a cultural exchange platform.

At the meeting, Prof. Chang Jiang expressed his gratitude to the Thai side for its long-term support of Chinese language and Chinese culture promotion. He hoped that through this meeting, the two schools would work together to plan for the future development of the Confucius Classroom at Rayongwittayakom School, to better play the role of a cultural exchange platform for the Confucius Classroom, to explore the development path of specialization, and to innovate the mode of cooperation and exchange in order to achieve better and faster development. Principal Thipwongthong expressed his hope that the two schools would give full play to their respective strengths and vigorously promote the integration of Chinese culture and art with Chinese language teaching, so that the Confucius Classroom could play a greater role in the cause of Chinese language education in Rayong and Thailand.

The Confucius Classroom at Rayongwittayakom School in Thailand is a Confucius Classroom jointly built by Northwest University and at Rayongwittayakom School in Thailand, which was officially awarded by the China International Chinese Education Foundation in 2021 and undertakes the teaching of Chinese to about 800 students every year, and is a model institution for Chinese education in the eastern part of Thailand.
