Northwest University Athletes Won Two Gold Medals and One Silver Medal in the National College Cross-Country Skiing Championships

From December 31, 2023 to January 3, 2024, the 4th National College Students Cross-Country Skiing Championships and the Selection Competition for Cross-Country Skiing of the 32nd World University Winter Games were held in Changchun City, Jilin Province, sponsored by the Chinese College Students Sports Association and the Chinese Secondary School Students Sports Association, and hosted by the Department of Education of Jilin Province. The Jianglin high level skiing team members of Northwest University, Mr. Tamil, a 2021 grade student majoring in intellectual property rights from the School of Law, won a gold and a silver medal after fierce competition in the mens group C (high level group) 5 kilometers chase race, and won a gold medal in the short distance interval start race.

The NWU Jianglin high-level ski team was founded in 2020.The team had achieved two silver and one bronze medal in 2021 on the 3rd National College Students Cross-Country Skiing Championships. In recent years, the team members overcame the epidemic and other difficulties such as venue problems and insisted on the training year-round. The team members had won two gold medals in October of 2023 during the China College Students Cross-Country Skateboarding Championships. Currently, they achieved a breakthrough in the gold medal of the national college students snow and ice sports events.
