On October 3rd and 5th, the inauguration ceremony of the China-Central Asia Belt and Road Joint Laboratory on Human and Environment Research (Samarkand) and the unveiling ceremony of the Joint Laboratory (Termez) were held respectively.
On the morning of October 3rd, the university and the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan and Northwest University jointly held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the inauguration of the joint laboratory. Dilmurod Nasimov, first vice president of Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, and Chen Fulin, vice president of Northwest University, cut the ribbon for the laboratory.
Ma Jian, Professor of the School of Cultural Heritage and Director of the China-Central Asia Belt and Road Joint Laboratory, reported on the development of the joint laboratory, while Dilmurod Nasimov and Chen Fulin delivered speeches on behalf of the two universities, fully confirming the progress of the joint laboratory and expecting the joint laboratory to provide strong support for the development of high-level scientific research and talent cultivation in the field of cultural heritage. Afterwards, the participants visited the joint laboratory.
On the morning of October 5th, the unveiling ceremony was held to inaugurate the the China-Central Asia Belt and Road Joint Laboratory (Termez) at the Termez State University. Askarov, the academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Tashkulov Abdulkader, the Rector of Termez State University, Alisher Shaidullayev, Prof. Govul Tagayev, Prof Objian Shavuyev, the Vice-Rectors of Termez State University, Chen Fulin, the Vice-President of Northwest University, and more than 60 faculty members and students from the two universities participated in the ceremony.
Abdulkader and Chen Fulin jointly inaugurated the joint laboratory (Termez). Abdulkader issued teaching certificates to 6 teachers of Northwest University who carried out courses, experiments and practical teaching in Termez State University; Chen Fulin issued training certificates to 34 students of Termez State University who participated in the training. The participants visited the laboratories of animal archaeology, physical anthropology and other themes, and observed the experimental course of cultural heritage restoration.
