On the afternoon of March 7th, Christoph Josten, the Director of Leipzig University Hospital in Germany, along with three other representatives, visited Northwest University. Vice President Chen Fulin met with the guests at the Taibai Campus, accompanied by relevant officials from the Office of International Cooperation and the Medical School.
Chen Fulin noted that Leipzig University Hospital, as a top-tier medical institution in Europe, has achieved significant accomplishments in various fields such as clinical medicine and digital healthcare. He expressed hope that both sides could strengthen communication and deepen cooperation in related areas.
Christoph Josten provided a brief introduction to Leipzig University Hospital, covering its geographical location, history, departments, and research institutes. He emphasized that the continuous advancement of medicine relies on extensive and in-depth international collaboration. Leipzig University Hospital looks forward to cooperating with Northwest University in areas such as medical education, scientific research, and medical technology innovation.
Following this, the Medical School of NWU and Leipzig University Hospital signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The signing of this memorandum provides new opportunities for the Medical School and its international partners in areas such as joint student training, faculty exchange, and collaborative applications for medical research projects. This will help promote more in-depth exchanges between the two institutions in education and scientific research.
