On the morning of May 7, 2025, a delegation led by AINURA SARDARBEKOVA, Principal of Bishkek No. 95 Secondary School in Kyrgyzstan, visited Northwest University (NWU).

The Director of the Office of International Cooperation introduced NWUs collaboration with Kyrgyzstan in talent cultivation, scientific research, cultural exchange, and other fields. She stated that NWU plans to establish a Chinese Language Internship and Practice Base at the school to provide more Kyrgyzstani students with opportunities to learn Chinese, aiming to build the partnership into a model of educational exchange between China and Kyrgyzstan.

AINURA SARDARBEKOVA shared the schools history, student profile, and current status of Chinese language education. She emphasized the schools strong commitment to deepening collaboration with NWU in areas such as student recruitment and cultivation, faculty exchanges, and internship programs, while exploring new cooperative models and projects.

During discussions, both sides reached consensus on advancing initiatives including volunteer dispatch programs, faculty exchanges, and study opportunities in China.

Following the meeting, the delegation visited the student dormitories, smart classrooms, and a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) specialty classroom at the School of International Education to gain insights into NWUs educational environment and unique disciplinary strengths. Prior to the meeting, the delegation also visited the High School Affiliated to NWU and NWU Museum for exchanges.

NWUs Affiliated High School and Bishkek No. 95 Secondary School formalized their partnership in 2017 as part of Chinas educational aid initiatives in Kyrgyzstan and a proactive response to the Belt and Road Initiative. This collaboration aims to foster mutual understanding and friendship between Chinese and Kyrgyz youth through educational exchanges, enhancing people-to-people ties and laying a foundation for the long-term stability of bilateral relations.
