On the afternoon of October 20, NWU held the 2025 Board Meeting of the Confucius Classroom at Rayongwittayakom School, Thailand at its Taibai Campus. Attendees included FAN Daidi, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President of NWU; Pornsak Thipwongthong, Principal of Rayongwittayakom School, Thailand; Chinese and foreign directors of the Confucius Classroom; and heads of the Office of International Cooperation (School of International Education) and the Financial Office of NWU.
At the meeting, FAN Daidi expressed gratitude to the Thai side for their long-term support in promoting the Chinese language and Chinese culture. She expressed hope that through this meeting, the Confucius Classroom could better serve as a platform for cultural exchange, explore a distinctive development path, and innovate models of cooperation and exchange to achieve better and faster development. Pornsak Thipwongthong expressed his hope to further strengthen cooperation with NWU, jointly promote the deep integration of Chinese culture and arts with Chinese language teaching, and contribute more to the development of Chinese language education in Thailand.
The meeting reviewed and approved the 2024 work summary and financial final accounts, as well as the 2025 work plan and budget of the Confucius Classroom.
The Confucius Classroom at Rayongwittayakom School, Thailand is a collaborative project between NWU and Rayongwittayakom School. It was officially accredited by the China International Chinese Education Foundation in 2021, undertakes Chinese language teaching for approximately 800 students annually, and serves as a model institution for Chinese language education in Eastern Thailand.
