On the evening of November 6, the 2025 Welcome Gala entitled “Youth Meets a Flourishing Era, New Journey Unveils Splendid Chapters” was held at the sports stadium of the Chang’an Campus of NWU. University leaders and more than 3,200 freshmen of the Class of 2025 gathered together to enjoy the gala.
During the gala, the orchestra from the Student Art Troupe performed an instrumental ensemble, the Rolling Stone Pop Group from the Student Art Troupe presented dynamic dance moves, and the V-Sound Chorus delivered a song medley. Faculty and students from the Staff Art Troupe, the School of Journalism and Communication, the Faculty of Liberal Arts, the Department of Physical Education, the Middle School Affiliated to Northwest University, and the Primary School Affiliated to Northwest University all brought wonderful performances. Representatives of international students also presented a dance titled “Silk Road Rhapsody,” interpreting the beauty of civilizational integration from a multicultural perspective.
Finally, the gala concluded on a high note with the passionate and majestic “NWU Alma Mater,” pushing the atmosphere to its climax. Through the song, all teachers and students collectively felt the enduring legacy and spiritual strength of Northwest University’s 123-year history. With its diverse artistic forms, this welcome gala showcased the youthful spirit and vitality of NWU students, while also providing a platform for freshmen to integrate into campus life and express themselves.
