From November 20 to 23, 2025, the Northwest University 7th Silk Road Forum of Young Scholars was held at the Chang’an Campus. More than 200 participants attended the forum, including outstanding young scholars from 11 countries and regions, as well as officials of relevant departments and schools within the university.
During the forum, Professor LIU Qian, a representative of the university’s introduced talents and a recipient of national-level young talent programs, shared insights from his experience working at NWU. He highlighted the university’s sincerity in recruiting talent, the strength of its platforms, and its supportive environment. Invited young scholar representative Dr. FU Weihao from Renmin University of China expressed a strong interest in potentially working at NWU, citing his research alignment with the university’s robust academic atmosphere.
Between November 20 and 23, 2025, various schools and departments organized 23 sub-forum sessions. These included academic presentations by visiting scholars, exchange seminars, visits and tours, and talks on potential recruitment. Additionally, 12 lectures were arranged featuring Academicians and other experts, alongside more than 100 academic presentations delivered by the young scholars themselves.
The Northwest University Silk Road Forum of Young Scholars serves as a flagship event for the university to attract outstanding young talents and renowned experts and scholars from home and abroad. It aims to help them learn about Shaanxi Province and NWU, with the ultimate goal of encouraging them to pursue innovation and entrepreneurship in Shaanxi and at the university.
