Recently, the Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education announced the list of approved projects for the 2025 General Program of Humanities and Social Sciences Research. Northwest University obtained 18 projects, including 8 Planning Fund Projects, 6 Youth Fund Projects, 3 Western and Frontier Region Projects, and 1 Special Project for University Counselors. The approval rate was 19.15%, ranking NWU 16th nationwide (jointly 9th).
Among the approved projects, five are in interdisciplinary/comprehensive research; two each in Law, Sociology, and Marxism/Ideological and Political Education; and one each in Art Studies, History, Archaeology, Management, Political Science, Journalism and Communication, and Education.
