On November 25, CUI Shan, President of the The Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RAUIE), led a delegation to Northwest University for an exchange visit. The two sides held talks on cooperation between Chinese and Russian universities in the field of education. FAN Daidi, Member of the University Party Standing Committee and Vice President, attended the discussion and delivered a speech. The meeting was chaired by REN Huilian, Secretary of the Party Branch directly under the School of Area Studies. Prior to the meeting, President SUN Qingwei met with CUI Shan and her delegation.
In her speech, FAN Daidi stated that current academic exchanges and cooperation between China and Russia are flourishing and hold broad prospects. With next year being the China-Russia Year of Education, NWU has already signed cooperation agreements with several Russian universities and is willing to work with the Russian-Chinese Education and Technology Development Foundation to jointly promote deeper cooperation between Chinese and Russian universities in areas such as joint educational programs, talent recruitment, and training of international students.
