Recently, the National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences announced the list of approved major projects for the 2025 National Social Science Fund. Four projects from NWU were approved, placing NWU 16th nationally (tied for 7th) in terms of total approved projects, maintaining the university’s leading advantage in major projects. Furthermore, NWU secured one major bidding project under the 2025 Major Historical Issues Research Special Program of the National Social Science Fund managed by the Chinese Academy of History.
The five approved projects are: Compilation and Research on the General History of Chinese Daoist Thought (Project Leader: XIE Yangju); Research on the History of Relations Between China and the Central Asian Region Since the Sui and Tang Dynasties (Project Leader: LI Dawei); Comparative Study of Practical Cases of High-Quality Development (Project Leader: LI Chunqing); Research on the History of Chinese Religions from the Perspective of the Sinicization of Religion in China (Project Leader: LI Li’an); and Collation and Research of Archaeological Excavation Materials from the Xitou Ruins in Xunyi, Shaanxi Province (Project Leader: DOU Haifeng).
