On the afternoon of March 16th, 2026, the Expert Appointment Ceremony and Academic Symposium of the Institute for Tang Poetry Culture were held. WANG Hui, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Xi’an Municipal Committee, JIANG Lin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Northwest University, as well as over 50 academic advisors and part-time researchers appointed by the Institute for Tang Poetry Culture, attended the event. The appointment ceremony and academic seminar were respectively presided over by ZHAO Hang and LI Fangmin, Deputy Directors of the Institute for Tang Poetry Culture.
This seminar is an important measure for the research institute to further integrate academic resources and gather research forces under the joint construction and management of both parties. Co-founded by the Publicity Department of the Xi’an Municipal Committee and Northwest University, the research institute was officially unveiled on January 23rd this year. It aims to build a research platform with academic height, era depth, and social influence under the background of Xi’an’s implementation of the major cultural strategy of building a “City of Tang Poetry”.
