On October 15, Shanghai Ranking, a professional higher-education evaluation institution, released the 2026 Best Chinese Subjects Ranking. Twenty-eight disciplines of our university were listed, including 26 first-level disciplines and 2 professional degree categories, ranking 43rd nationally and tied for 2nd among universities in Shaanxi Province in terms of the number of listed disciplines.
Country and Region Studies ranked first in the country, Archaeology ranked second, Geology ranked fifth, and History of Science and Technology ranked sixth. In addition, disciplines including Theoretical Economics, Chinese History, Chemical Engineering and Technology, Chinese Language and Literature, Chemistry, Public Administration and Biology entered the top 20% of the national ranking in their respective disciplines.
