From October 16 to 19, the 9th Chinese Symposium on Photocatalytic Materials was held in Xi’an. The symposium was initiated by our university and co-hosted jointly with Yan’an University, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Xi’an University of Technology, Nanning Normal University, Ordos Institute of Applied Technology, Changsha University and Jilin University of Chemical Technology. More than 400 experts and scholars attended, including professor Zhu Weihong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and vice president of East China University of Science and Technology, and professor Yu Jiaguo, member of the Academia Europaea at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). The opening ceremony was presided over by professor Liu Enzhou of our university, chair of the symposium.
With the theme of “Energy and Environment Photocatalytic Materials,” the participants discussed the basic theories, preparation strategies and catalytic mechanisms of photocatalytic materials, as well as their applications in the fields of energy and the environment, sharing the latest research progress, prospects for industrial application and ideas for future development in the field. The symposium featured 7 plenary lectures, 10 keynote reports, 138 invited reports and 59 oral presentations, alongside 82 academic posters. During the meeting, 10 outstanding-poster awards were selected. (School of Chemical Engineering)
